This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position.
Air Reserve Technicians (ARTs) are part of the regular civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain active membership in an Air Force Reserve unit so long as they occupy Air Reserve Technician positions. As members of reserve units, ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. In addition, they are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Air Reserve Technician (ART) performing both on and off ordnance equipment maintenance and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Incumbent of this position will provide assistance in the following duties:
Install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a complete missile and ordnance systems including support and test equipment consisting of numerous complex integrated components.
Set up and operate software controlled automatic test equipment (ATE) to test and troubleshoot complex electronic component of missiles and ordnance systems.
Receive store, handle and transport ammunition, rockets, unguided and guided weapons and countermeasures, demolition material, and other types of conventional ordnance.
Comply with with all federal, DOD, USAF, state and local regulations concerning, hazardous material and waste including all explosive items.
A specific length of experience or training is not required. However, you must have had experience and/or training (military or civilian, paid or unpaid) of sufficient scope and quality to be able to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Position may or will require incumbent to:
(1) Must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. (2) This is a testing designated position (TDP). The employee maybe subject to random drug testing. (3) This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. (4) May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous material endorsement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
